During March 2000 Tower Automotive successfully completed its Technical Center project. This concluded over 12 months of intense project work planned and managed by the Project Planning & Management (P2M). It is the intent of this letter to summarize P2M's exemplary contribution to this project.

Since real-estate issues, architectural issues, and relocation activities are not a core competency of Tower Automotive, P2M was contracted early on during our decision to relocate. P2M's value was first displayed during the initial relocation decision-making process. P2M led a comprehensive study to determine the optimum environment to support our empowered, team-based culture. They showed great ability to synthesize and document our desires into an understandable and presentable format.

Next, after facilitating us to a decision, P2M carefully developed a team of internal and external members, they established effective working relationships with team members, and collaboratively developed a comprehensive plan. This plan included documented budgets, timing with key milestones, and most importantly defined the responsibilities for each of the team members. This both prepared us for the types of decisions we would need to make and when we would need to make them. Most importantly, however, P2M showed great flexibility to adapt their project management philosophy to our organization while still maintaining a proper sense of firmness to insure successful project completion.

During the project, as with all projects, many challenges arose that jeopardized timing and budgets. Each time P2M facilitated the Tower Automotive and external team members to a win-win solution that did not compromise the original schedule and budgets. In the end, our project was completed on time and 14% under budget. Clearly this performance fact speaks strongly of P2M's capabilities. More importantly, however, was P2M's collaborative approach. The project was clearly successful but it was also completed in a manner that left all stakeholders pleased with the outcome.

In sum, I would like to conclude by stating that I would recommend P2M for future facility and relocation project work. In addition, I would like to add that they have repeatedly proven to Tower Automotive and myself that they will deliver on stated commitments.
